This is a crucial and often daunting step to take towards actually creating your podcast. If you’re not a very techy person, it’s extremely overwhelming even thinking about what microphone to buy, how to record, edit, and upload your podcast to your RSS feed. I’m going to make this as simple as I can so that you can go buy the correct gear and be confident it’ll do the trick.

Tone and slap sounds are both produced by striking the drum closer to its edge where there’s more tension in the skin than in the middle. It is actually the contact area of the fingers that determines the pitch of the strike.

So that’s either a modulation from C minor to G minor, or you just start on the iv chord which was quickly dispatched by ninjas — take your pick. Watch how the phrase leading up to the first chorus stretches it to nine bars, rather than your regular eight, and how the outro has an irregular number of bars, too. What’s cool about this is how it obfuscates where the different sections begin or end.
